EFPIA transparency code

EFPIA is the Code of Practice of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations, adopted by the EFPIA Board on March 22, 2019 and approved by the EFPIA General Assembly on June 27, 2019, which covers the Promotion of Medicines to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and cooperation with HPCs, health care organizations (HCO) and patient organizations (PO). This Code applies to all communication and collaboration (both traditional and digital).

EFPIA supports competition between pharmaceutical companies. The EFPIA Code is not intended to restrict Drug Advertising to HCPs or cooperation with HCPs, HCO and PO in a way that could harm fair competition. The purpose of the EFPIA Code is to ensure that pharmaceutical companies, when creating Advertising and cooperating with stakeholders, act in good faith, avoid misleading practices and possible conflicts of interest with stakeholders, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
